Safety Notice for RAM Trucks in Albany and Valdosta Area

Here at Griffin Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, we're committed to your safety and want you to be aware of any safety notices that come down from any of the brands we sell. In the case of RAM trucks, we want to inform you of a safety notice that impacts many vehicles.

There is a shifter issue that causes multiple issues including the vehicle rolling without a driver's foot on the brake, or key in the ignition. The issue centers on vehicles with a shifter on the steering column which can leave the park position without the usual safety steps.

Among the vehicles that are being recalled for safety notice include 2010 through 2017 RAM 2500 and 3500 pickups, and some 2011 through 2017 RAM 3500, RAM 4500, and RAM 5500, along with 2016 and 2017 RAM 3500 trucks that weigh less than 10,000 pounds, and select 2009 through 2017 RAM 1500 vehicles.

Any 2017 model year vehicle built after December 31, 2016 is not included in this safety alert.

If you've been notified that your vehicle is impacted via mail by RAM, or by us at our dealership serving Tifton, Fitzgerald, Moultrie, Albany and Valdosta, GA, contact our service center and we will get you in for an appointment as soon as possible. This fix is covered completely, and will be of no cost to you.
